It is Well

The world has gone crazy.  Fear seems to be ruling the day.  I have to say even for myself, initially I was getting very fearful.  Not so much of COVID19, but of people's reactions and the behavior I as seeing, the hoarding, people being afraid to go out in public, arguments over toilet paper or paper towels.  Like I said, crazy.   I still fear for people's livelihoods, the small business that can't survive something of this magnitude, the people who will not be paid when their jobs shut down.  My heart is breaking for them.  Will they be ok?  And then God....Zephaniah 3:17 For the Lord your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.”  

In spite of what is going on, God is still in control.  And He has brought us through these times before.  Things may change, for some a lot, but whoever trusts in Him will have peace and be taken care of in the way God knows is best.  Isaiah 55:8  “My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine.

So today, I'd like to just encourage God's children to remember who holds them in His arms.  To know that God loves and will not forsake.  I want to pray for comfort, for healing, for wholeness, for rest, and for peace.  These days are evil, but the one Who holds us is always good. 

Please join me in prayer each day for an end to this virus.  2 Chronicles 7:14  Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.

Remember, we serve a great God...bigger than anything or anyone.  Let His light shine in us in these dark days.  Matthew 5:16 In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.

Lord thank You for caring for us, even when all around us is falling apart and going crazy.  We, Your children know that You will never leave us nor forsake us.  Help us to be the light and to be Your hands as we navigate this time of upheaval and distress.  Let us show Your love and Your kindness.  In Jesus Name.  Amen.
