Praise, From Mom Part 2

Praise is an act of worship or acknowledgment by which the virtue or deeds of another are recognized and extolled.  Praise of God reflects a true servants heart.  Praise toward God expresses our joy to the Lord.  Praising God for Who He is reflects adoration.  Praising God for what He does is known as thanksgiving.  Praise invites God's Presence.

Psalm 63:7  Because You have been my help, therefore in the shadow of Your wings I will rejoice.

Praise goes in two directions.  It praises God and calms our hearts.  Psalm 29:11 The Lord will give strength to His people; The Lord will bless His people with peace.   Psalm 89:9  You rule the raging of the sea; When its waves rise, You still them.

God is merciful.  His love is unfailing and steadfast, His lovingkindness is shown in His grace to us.

Ephesians 1:3-14 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, 4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, 5 having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, 6 to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.
7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace 8 which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence, 9 having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself, 10 that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth—in Him. 11 In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will, 12 that we who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory.
13 In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, 14 who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.

Where do we praise God?  In His sanctuary, in nature, wherever I am.  Why do we praise God?  Because of what God does, who God is.  He is the Almighty, the Creator, Sustainer of the universe.
How do we praise God?  Loudly, softly, soothingly, enthusiastically, boldly, unexpectedly, fearlessly.
Who praises God?  Everything, everyone, young, old, rich , poor, strong, weak, every living creature!

From me.

Praise the Lord!

Praise God in His sanctuary;
Praise Him in His mighty firmament!

2 Praise Him for His mighty acts;
Praise Him according to His excellent greatness!

3 Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet;
Praise Him with the lute and harp!
4 Praise Him with the timbrel and dance;
Praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes!
5 Praise Him with loud cymbals;
Praise Him with clashing cymbals!

6 Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.

Praise the Lord!

Lord, let us praise You every day.  For everyday You are worthy!  Your love for us knows no bounds, Your care is better than anything we could envision.  You are always good and always doing right.  I praise You today!  Let Your praises ever be in my mouth and in my heart.  In Jesus' Name amen!

Set aside time for "praise breaks."
