A Little Note

Yesterday at work I was very tired....you know the times when you feel like keeping your eyes open is the most difficult thing to do, and  yawn after yawn keeps coming.  It had been a long day, up at 6:30 am and still going into the evening.  I don't know about you but a lot of times when I get this tired every little thing becomes a major obstacle in my mind.  Nothing seems to go right and grumbling is starting to win over being thankful.  But God didn't forget about me, He was right there just waiting for the right moment to encourage.

I was walking through my work area when a small, bright red rectangle on the floor caught my drooping eyes.  What is that?  It wasn't there a couple of minutes ago...I was just working in that section.

The one side said "We have this HOPE as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.  Hebrews 6:19
And the flip side of the card said, "Cast your cares on God; that anchor holds.  Frank Moor Colby."

God is so good.  So sweet to us.  I just read a devotional a couple of days ago about how our loving Father wants to be involved in every area of our lives, wants to help us and guide us through each part of our day.  And this was just one of those instances where I felt and saw the truth of that statement.  I was lifted up out of my weary doldrums, and even though still tired, gratitude was back on top!  Who is like our God!

Your heart is so lovely, so kind....we are truly the most blessed people on earth!  What a loving Father we have!  Thank You for being intimately involved, tenderly caring.  Open our eyes and hearts to these little moments each day.   And use us to be that moment of encouragement to others.  Thank You for carrying me last night.  And I know You will do the same today.   In Jesus' Name.  Amen

Keep an eye open for the Lord's activity today.
