Music plays a big part in the way God reaches out to me.  I can't sing.  I can't play an instrument, yet I love music, and I love the way God uses it to make us smile, comfort us, lift us up, convict us, encourage us, and reach into our lives at just the right moment with just the right song.  Sometimes it's a song I hear on the radio or at worship on Sunday mornings.  Other time's it a much loved melody that wells up in my heart and fills my thoughts.  That was the case this week, as I continue to work on the Unshakeable Trust books.   God has put two songs in my heart this week, they play over and over in my mind....which usually gets a little annoying after a while (you know, that tune that gets stuck in your head), but this time my focus is going to the Lord and on learning to completely trust Him because of them, so I'm really very happy with this!  So I share these two classics with you, praying they will meet your heart where it is, and minister healing to your life.

Along with these songs bringing encouragement and direction to my day, I also had a reading in Jesus Always by Sara Young to confirm that learning this trust completely thing is the right direction to be going...the reading started out with, "I am God, and you are not."  Yup, and it went on from there teaching how God is in control, not us, He knows best, not us and so on and so on, leading to "trusting in my sovereignty."   All that lovely stuff we like to forget as we try to fix our lives, and the lives of those around us, playing director when most of the time we are kind of clueless.  LOL.  All of these little visits brought me full circle to Tuesday's blog and the quote from Joyce's book, "If we cannot believe the person is good, just, kind, loving and trustworthy, then we cannot put our confidence in them." It all comes down to what I am believing about God and am I choosing to trust Him....can I and will I really say, "It is well with my soul," no matter the circumstances, not matter the hardship,  and the problems, in the good times and the bad....Will I believe God is faithful, always.

I love this week's visits.  I love God teaching and reaching out.  He truly is faithful and I will choose to believe in His love for me and His sovereignty.  I will choose to say, "It is well with my soul." today.

Lord, thank You for music, readings, Scripture, the Holy Spirit.  Thank You for always being involved and never walking away from the slow learners like me.  You are good to me!!  Help me, and all reading this to grow in You, grow in faith, grow in trust.  Thank You.  In Jesus' Name.  Amen.

Listen to the music today.  Take time to breathe, and worship as it rolls over your heart and mind.
