Today we are headed into see the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. It's an early day, but lots of fun. I am so blessed to be able to spend time with my family, and that is just one of the many, many things I am thankful for. God has been so good to me. But it was the music of Sunday's service that got me thinking about gratefulness over all and I want to share two song with you today. I pray you will be blessed beyond measure today and everyday, living in God's love and walking in His fellowship.
As we sang this song, I had the pray list under my hand and thought to myself, what an awesome, faithful God we serve. He hears each request, sees each need, and in His wisdom answers, shows His power on behalf of His children. We are so blessed to have a loving Father who knows our needs and our hearts....we bring to Him our family, friends, ourselves and He takes each one and does sometimes the miraculous, sometimes something totally outside our understanding, sometimes it's just a quiet, small change....but always just the right thing. How grateful I felt for having God in my life and the privilege to bring my loved ones to Him. Thank You for being our loving Father. The giver of love, the provider of needs, the healer of our lives and for all the wisdom You possess to love us just right.
As we sang this song, I was reminded of Jesus' promise to return. Much like Israel awaited her Messiah, we His church await our Messiah's return. And how grateful I am for that promise that fills my heart with hope and light in the darkness of this world. Truly we are pilgrims, not citizens of this world, captive and in exile from our true home--Heaven. Yet the promise remains, and in faithfulness God will fulfill! Thank You Lord for this FACT. We long for Your return. And we rejoice in Your faithfulness.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving all.
