Expectancy

For hundreds of years ancient Israel awaited her Messiah.  Some of our Christmas songs echo that  longing for a deliverer.  As the church, we know our Messiah has come.  He came long ago that Christmas day as a tiny baby with big plans.  Now, listening to these songs puts me in the mind to look forward, as Israel did....awaiting not the coming, but the return of our Messiah.  Our deliverer, our conquering King of kings.  Enjoy and look forward, with expectancy....our Redeemer lives and our Redeemer will return!

Isaiah 9:6  For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
