Well, the computer is up and running again. A tune up and some tweaks were all it took, thankfully. Even though I don't use the computer as much as I used to (everything is done on our phones now), I still miss and need it for certain things, like doing this blog.
In my last post I talked about how our whole lives were to be an act of worship to the Lord. And I've been challenged with living out those words. LOL
Work has been, well work. It's mundane, mostly repetitive and many times frustrating with the way things are done. I could go on and on with a litany of complaints, but that would not be beneficial for anyone nor would it be what God wants. That doesn't mean that when I am there those complaints don't rise up in my head. They do. And that is where the multiple reminders are coming in. And I am grateful for them!
Every time I start complaining in my head at work lately I hear in my heart, "Do it as an act of worship." Whenever I hear things in my mind like, "I'm not cleaning up this mess, no one makes people do the right thing here!" I hear, "Do it as an act of worship." When the words like "These people don't appreciate the work we do, why should I go the extra mile?" start echoing in my mind, I hear, "Do it as an act of worship." On and on and on it goes. Complaints rise up, the Holy Spirit rises up higher. And I love it!!! God is so good and I feel so blessed.
Lord, thank You for the Holy Spirit. Thank You for Your correction and reminders that keep me on track. I am so grateful and so happy to hear Your voice. Lord, I really do want my life to be an act of worship, walked in humility and dependence on You. I pray for all of us that our lives would worship and honor You, bringing glory to Your name and a witness of love to others. In Jesus Name, amen.
Colossians 3:17 And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
Colossians 3:23 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters,
Meditate on these verses throughout the day.
